The Souvenir CardCollectors Society

(B) Bureau cards    The Bureau of Engraving & Printing issued its first official souvenir cards in 1969 and has produced well over 300 at this point.  This is the category that comes to mind for most collectors when they think of souvenir cards.  Initially, the majority of Bureau cards were stamp-related, but gradually the focus shifted to paper money designs, especially after the Bureau ended their stamp production in 2004.  The BEP stopped reprinting complete currency designs after 2007 and instead began producing "intaglio prints" featuring Bureau portraits and vignettes.
